Bed Bugs

Bed bugs have made a strong reappearance in the past 10 years. The treatment is a specialized process that includes initial treatment and follow-up treats. Bed bugs may be brought into the home or residence by another host.

ATEC Pest Control uses a chemical treatment and not a heat treatment.

Treatment process involves:

  1. Attic treatment
  2. Furniture treatment
  3. Bed treatment
  4. Wall void treatment

The first sign of bed bugs is a line, cluster, or zigzag of itchy bites that look like welts and are commonly mistaken for flea bites. If you spot these, your next step is to look for visible signs of smeared fecal matter in the bed, their exoskeletons, blood stains on your bedclothes and sheets, or tiny reddish-brown flat bugs and their eggs in mattress seams. However, do not neglect to look at other areas of the home either. They can be found in baseboards, suitcases, backpacks, or couches.

The female bed bugs will lay hundreds of eggs in her lifetime that hatch in about ten days. Those new bed bugs take only 35 days to mature making them difficult to get rid of; therefore, time is of the essence.

Since the reintroduction of Bed Bugs, many myth and theories have spread about them. We have performed numerous Bed Bug services and have learned the most important things about efficiently controlling them is find where they like to hide and treat for them in a way which will get results FAST.

Bed bugs hide during the day and come out at night because of the warmth and carbon dioxide from human breath while you sleep.
